How does 40Hz device work?
Our 40Hz products are designed with a specific oscillation rate of exactly 40Hz. This helps the brain produce more gamma brain waves. Studies show that increasing gamma brain waves may improve focus, enhance memory, for meditation and promote lucid dreaming.
Which product should I get?
Our products are designed for everyday use. If you need a portable option for use in your car or travel, we recommend our battery-powered products. For use in the office, we suggest products with bright lights or bulbs that can be used with any standard lamp. The GammaBear with adjustable brightness is a good choice for the bedroom or for children’s rooms. If you are interested in combining gamma sounds and lights, we offer products that provide both features for your convenience.
Can I use this product with medication or other therapies?
For your safety and well-being, we recommend speaking with your doctor before incorporating any supplements or complementary therapies into your treatment regimen. While there are no known drug interactions, it is advisable to consult with your physician if you have any concerns about how these additions may affect your current medication plan. Please note that our devices should not be used as a replacement for prescribed treatments.
What is brainwave entrainment?
Entrainment occurs when neural oscillations adjust their frequency to match the rhythmic characteristics of external stimuli, including light and sound.
What are gamma brain waves?
Gamma brain waves are a type of brain wave that is associated with high levels of consciousness, alertness, and focus. They have a frequency of around 30-100 Hz and are typically associated with high levels of activity in the brain. Gamma brain waves are thought to be involved in higher cognitive processes such as learning, memory, and perception. They have also been linked to states of meditation and mindfulness, and have been shown to be increased in people who practice meditation regularly. Gamma brain waves can be measured using electroencephalography (EEG), a technique that records the electrical activity of the brain.
Who shouldn’t use 40Hz lights or sounds?
Photosensitivity or a susceptibility to seizures may result in negative reactions to gamma light and sound. As a precaution, individuals who may be at risk should consult with their primary healthcare provider before starting light therapy. The human eye is typically unable to detect frequencies higher than 60 Hz, explaining why light bulbs operating at a 60 Hz power source do not usually cause discomfort. However, the lower gamma frequency of 40 Hz and the square wave electrical signal used to switch between ‘off’ and ‘on’ may make the flicker noticeable to most individuals.
How do I use my 40Hz devices?
For optimal use, it is recommended to limit light therapy to no more than one or two hours per day. As with any therapy, it is advisable to use it in moderation and adjust based on personal feelings. The 40Hz device should be used for a period of time at the discretion of the user, with the 40Hz light serving as the dominant light source in the room. The use of other light-emitting devices, such as a television or computer, is not recommended due to their different frequency of light. However people have used 40Hz therapies while studying on laptops, watching TV and on their phones without negative side-effects. For more detailed instructions and a disclaimer on the product’s use, please refer to the manual. It is important to note that this product is not an approved medical therapy
Where should I put my 40Hz devices?
You can place the devices wherever you spend time, such as on your office table, in a room while traveling, or as ambient light in a vehicle with the GammaGo. Some of our devices are equipped with magnets for placement on a refrigerator while preparing meals. To ensure optimal use, it is important to maintain a safe distance from the light source and to adjust the brightness level or distance if needed. Experiment to find a comfortable range that works for you.
Where can I put the 40Hz bulbs?
The light bulb is compatible with standard (non-enclosed) light fixtures and should be placed in a lamp within a few feet of the user’s peripheral vision for optimal use. You can also use the brighter bulbs as the main light source for your room.
Should I listen to my 40Hz audio + light at the same time?
Research has demonstrated that the combination of 40Hz audio and gamma light stimulation enhances the brain’s ability to achieve entrainment
Do I need to put on headphones while listening to the 40Hz audio?
Headphones are not required when listening to our 40Hz audio. Binaural beats are an auditory phenomenon that occurs when two tones of slightly different frequencies are presented to the listener separately, one to each ear. The brain processes these tones and creates the perception of a third, “phantom” tone, which is the difference between the two original frequencies.
Is there quality testing for GammaCure products?
To ensure optimal performance, all of our devices are calibrated with a high level of precision, to within +/- 0.05 Hz of the targeted frequency of 40 Hz. This process involves the use of multiple oscilloscopes for maximum accuracy. Prior to shipment, each device is subjected to multiple rounds of testing and verification to guarantee its quality.
